1956 Ford T-Bird
I always forget how much I enjoy these “Baby Birds” until I am fortunate enough to drive one again. An old friend of mind just came into my facility a few minutes ago and marveled at how nice this T-Bird is! He also said that in his opinion this color was one if the best colors that you can have on a T-Bird. I totally agree with him. When you have this color on a “Baby Bird” it just screams the 50’s. It was a time that will not ever, obviously, happen again. The color is named Bermuda Blue and it has a Turquoise and White two-tone interior. You do not drive these cars, you actually CRUISE in them. No cell phones allowed!! These are definitely cars that you cruise in with your elbow out the window.
This particular car is a highly optioned car which of course is very desirable. It has power windows, power seats, wonder bar radio, wire wheels, power steering and the highly desirable Continental Kit (STANDARD in 1956), the engine dress up kit, heater, new wide white tires, fender skirts and most of all it has air conditioning. It also has the highly desirable two tone interior. In addition to all of these options, it has its original carburetor which is very unusual. It operates perfectly.
This T-Bird drives wonderfully well due to the fact that it came from a collector that is very particular about the cars in his collection. I am selling it for him because he needs the space for more cars.
This car was a multiple show winner. It recently sold for 63,900 with commissions. This was prior to my customer purchasing the car. I also just found in the book that came with the car a copy of the original Ford invoice. It shows that the car sold for $3,235.96 in 1956. This copy of the original invoice shows all the optional equipment that the car came with back in 1956.
